Day 1: Flight to Marrakech
Accommodation: hotel.
Meet and greet at Marrakech airport and transfer to your 3-star hotel. Free time to explore the Red City, the gateway to the Rose Valley trek and a prime starting point for High Atlas trekking.
Day 2: Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Boutaghrar (320 km)
Departure for Ouarzazate, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 m), offering superb panoramas over the High Atlas. This crossing marks the gradual entry into the Vallée des Roses. Settle into the guesthouse in Boutaghrar, at the gateway to the gorges and hiking trails. Approximately 6.5 hours’ drive.
Day 3: Boutaghrar – Agouti Gorges – Alemdoun (+200 m)
After breakfast, local transfer to the start of the walk. Begin the hike through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs and the spectacular Agouti Gorges. Picnic in the gardens or near the kasbah of Lhout. In the afternoon, cross authentic Berber villages (Agouti, Lhout, Znag). Overnight in a guesthouse in Alemdoun. Approximately 5 hours of walking.
Day 4: Alemdoun – Aguerzga (5.5 hours of walking / +300 m & -250 m)
A day of High Atlas trekking along the mountain slopes, with wide panoramas over the valleys, gorges, and high plateaus of the M’Goun massif. This stage offers total immersion in the wild landscapes of the Vallée des Roses. Overnight in a guesthouse in Aguerzga.
Day 5: Aguerzga – Boutaghrar (6 hours of walking / +50 m & -300 m)
A gradual descent towards the M’Goun valley, following rivers and crossing the magnificent M’Goun Gorges. Walk between lush gardens, ochre kasbahs, and mineral mountains. Return and overnight in a guesthouse in Boutaghrar.
Day 6: Boutaghrar (1,550 m) – Taberkhacht (1,450 m)
Approximately 5.5 hours of walking – 100 m of downhill elevation. Accommodation in a guesthouse.
Enter the heart of the Vallée des Roses. This day crosses adobe villages, orchards, and the famous rose fields cultivated for the production of rose water. Overnight with a local family in Taberkhacht.
Day 7: Taberkhacht – Marrakech (320 km)
Return to Marrakech via Kalaat M’Gouna, the rose capital and the site of the famous Rose Festival in spring. End of this Rose Valley trek and check-in at the hotel. Free evening in Marrakech.
Day 8: Marrakech – Airport
